Dunster Castle. Despite
its medieval appearance the present castle was actually
created in the 19th century
by Anthony Salvin for George Fownes Luttrell, whose
ancestor Lady Elizabeth
Luttrell bought Dunster from Lady Joan de Mohun in
1376. The Luttrells lived
at Dunster until 1976 when Lt-Colonel Walter
Luttrell gave the castle
and park to the National Trust.
